Our Books
Universal Literature

PÁRAMO ediciones will be the publishing house for Mexican literary translators who have carried out a priceless work trying to get our culture together with the most relevant authors of other languages, times, genres and schools, and whose work has not been properly reprinted.
By relevant authors we mean great classics of the last centuries, Nobel Laureates in literature, marginal writers who are just finding their place in the literary circle and contemporary authors expected to be first-level figures.

The catalogue of universal literature, published as a paperback book, will eventually turn into a library of must-read-books for those who enjoy the pleasure of great literature.

Spanish American and Mexican Literature

PÁRAMO ediciones is also a welcoming house for those Spanish American writers from both the Southern Cone and Central America belonging to the nineteenth and twentieth centuries that have been considered to be significant but are scarcely distributed. This is going to be done following the tradition of several Mexican publishing houses that were, throughout different periods of history, a suitable forum for the spreading of twinned literatures of our linguistic continent. The publication of these authors under our label will be translated into a rapprochement to young readers and into a critical revaluation of their work.

Within the Mexican category, PÁRAMO ediciones will publish the work of twentieth century authors who have been barely distributed: we are talking about play writers, poets, essayists and narrators who have a solid work but don’t have a canonical place within our literary scene. Their inclusion in our catalogue will open the possibility to the development of a creative and critical dialogue with the new literary generations not only in Mexico but in other latitudes as well.
